The absurdity of oil wars

"A singular absurdity of the 21st century is that the nation that spends more on defense than the rest of the world combined needs to hire mercenaries to fight wars against enemies who have no defense budget at all." -Commander Jeff Huber, U.S. Navy (Retired) writes at Pen and Sword

Why is the US defense budget so big? Tip: it ain't to because we hate them for their freedoms.

Why is US in Iraq? Tip: if one says 'dem terrorists', one should be legally declared an idiot and incapable of analytical thought.

Why are US and UK (and the rest of us) in Afghanistan? Hint, it surely ain't women's rights and stopping the narco trade.

What is the energetic pay-off of fighting oil wars? Tip: war's a gas guzzler!

Is there no end to this folly? Tip, Obama ain't the second coming of Jesus. Same doctrine, same foreign politics, same oil dependence.

Wake up. Smell the coffee. Ignore the bullshit.
